Scene – a cozy coffee shop. Emma and Grace sit across from each other. Emma stirs her drink, eyes downcast.
Grace: You’ve been quiet today. Everything okay?
Emma: I don’t know… I just feel stuck. I pray and read, but it’s as if nothing changes on some days.
Grace: Emma, you are changing. Growth isn’t always loud—it’s like roots deepening before anything blooms. You’re on the right path.
Emma: But what if I never bloom? What if this is it?
Grace: God doesn’t start something in you just to leave it unfinished. You’re a masterpiece still being painted.
Emma: I needed that. Thank you.
Grace: And your love? It’s already growing. I see it in your patience, your kindness. Just imagine how much more is coming—your growth potential is boundless.
Emma: You always know what to say. Thanks for reminding me I’m a work in progress, not a lost cause.
Grace: Never a lost cause—just beautifully becoming.

The Message
There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
7-8 It’s not at all fanciful for me to think this way about you. My prayers and hopes have deep roots in reality. You have, after all, stuck with me all the way from the time I was thrown in jail, put on trial, and came out of it in one piece. All along you have experienced with me the most generous help from God. He knows how much I love and miss you these days. Sometimes I think I feel as strongly about you as Christ does!
