Ava
I was thinking about yesterday, and I’m sorry for trying to take control of everything. I should’ve listened more.
Marcus
Thanks, Ava. I’ve been stubborn, too, and I kept pushing my idea, not because it was better, but because I wanted to win.
Ava
We’ve both been pulling in opposite directions. No wonder the project’s stuck.
Marcus
Yeah. But it changed something when you stopped to help me sort that data instead of arguing.
Ava
I realized this isn’t about who’s right; it’s about working together for the same purpose—helping each other get there.
Marcus
What if we led with humility more often? We would not think less of ourselves—we would just think of each other more.
Ava
Then I think we’d actually start getting somewhere, and maybe even enjoy the process.
Marcus
Let’s try it—side by side, not toe-to-toe.
Ava
Agreed. Let’s build something better—together.

2 1-4 If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care—then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.
